Why shouldn't I use Matterport's 2D 'Drafting' services?
Matterport’s 2D Matterport Drafting Services does not provide accurate, editable CAD files, but rather inaccurate PNG and PDF’s that cannot be used for construction purposes. They use what is called Raster to Vector conversion along with other CAD Conversion Software programs. It is, however, an excellent choice if you do not need accurate files.

What Types of Floor plan Files Does Matterport Provide?

Matterport provides both a 3D model of the scanned room and a professional-grade floor plan for use in presentations. We will focus on the 2D floor plans you will receive with their service.
According to Matterport’s website, after two business days of processing, they provide a zip file including PNG and PDF files. The PNG files contain individual floor plans, while the PDF version contains all floors in one document.
